What does Self-Care Look Like for You?
Let's get real for a second.....
Self-care isn't a one-size-fits-all. It's not just bubble baths and green smoothies (though I'm not saying no to either). It's deeper than that. It's about learning to listen to yourself. To honor what your body is whispering----or sometimes screaming. It's about showing up for you.... even when no one else does.
This page is a little love note from me to you. A reminder that YOU matter. And an invitation to ask questions that help you come home to yourself.
The Questions We're All Asking
(.... and the ones we should be.)
Take a breath. Read these slowly. Let your body respond before your brain tries to answer them.
What makes me feel safe, calm, and connected?
What drains me---and how can I reduce or release it?
What's one thing I need more of in my life right now?
When was the last time I felt truly rested?
What does self-care actually look like for me?
Not what I've been told. Not what social media says.
How do I handle stress when I'm being honest about it? (Do I shut down? Numb out? Overdo everything?)
What's one thing I need right now----but keep ignoring?
When was the last time I felt truly held, seen, or safe?
What would I say to the little version of me who's still waiting for permission to rest?
You don't have to journal these if you don't want to. You can just sit with them. Or come back later. This is your space.
If Your Here Wondering.....
How do I stop a panic attack?
Place your hand over your heart and say, 'I'm safe. I'm okay. This will pass.'
Breathe like this: in for 4, hold for 4, out for 4, in for 4, hold for 4.
Step outside if you can. Put your bare feet on the ground. Let the earth hold you.
"What are some affirmations I can actually believe?"
"I don't have to earn rest."
"Saying no doesn't make me selfish."
"I'm allowed to take up space. All of it."
"I'm not broken----I'm becoming."
